Youth Leadership Program
Latino Youth Gang Prevention/Intervention Program
The Hispanic Liaison Youth program offers Latino youth positive alternatives to gang involvement, also ensuring that the gang problem is addressed by working with law enforcement, churches, schools and other youth serving agencies in the Chatham County. The program also engages in community outreach around a variety of issues that affect the well-being of young people in our community.
The group is open to high school students between the ages of 13-18 and meets every Tuesday from 3.30-5.30pm at the Hispanic Liaison office. Youth are responsable for organizing their own transportation to and from meetings, signing a behavioral contract and obtaining written parental permission for participating.
